It's been a very slow year for me with hardly any output except some family pics.
Had a week away near the Norfolk coast last week, but sunset clashed with our allotted swim time in the pool next door to our cottage, managed to get out for one trip.

Looking from the Egg Rock Overlook at Egg Rock, Egg Rock Light (and appurtenant buildings and structures) and the Maine mainland. Egg Rock Lighthouse which is outside of Acadia NP, is about 2 miles from Mount Desert Island and sits at the mouth of Frenchman Bay.

As I mentioned earlier, the burrowing owl population in Southern California is definitely down but fortunately not out. I was at my favorite owl location this morning and spotted at least 3 owls. One was quite active and was hunting some June bugs. I am breathing a sigh of relieve and I am confident that they will still be around in the foreseeable future. Phew!
