The cloud formation was wonderful at this location in New Mexico - taken with an adapted Leica-M 24mm f/1.4 Summilux ASPH on the original A7r. This file was labeled for processing for a few years but I didn’t get to do it until yesterday. This is the location of that movie “Contact” from 1997.

I really like/love the Leica-M 24mm f/1.4 Summilux ASPH. It's my wide-angle in my Leica M10 kit and adapts nicely to the A7rIV too. However, it was recently discontinued by Leica as I don't think it was a very popular lens with most going for the UWA 21mm. Can't help wondering if the discontinuation will help to increase value or not.

Very limited by my post processing abilities, but thought i would share this:

Sony A7Riv, Sony 400/2.8 @ 2.8, no teleconverted, tracking but not guided, about 30 x 15s exposures stacked, ISO 1600. Lagoon Nebula and surroundings, from Florida night of 7/19. This is 19% of the frame cropped.

That 400 is one sharp lens!!

Joshua - that 'Contact' Pic is stunning!

A walk along the Canal outside Bath yesterday with Contax G 45 mm on my A7RIII - OOC jpegs with tiny tweaks. This is one of my all time favourite lenses.

And a heavy crop of the last one

Thank you for your comment, LB! I didn’t know that Leica discontinued that lens but the Leica brand somehow has some kind “prestige” that transcends time... well, to a certain degree . The price afterwards will depend now how many copies they actually produced that lens.

I enjoyed the movie, too although I remembered the ending was kind of weird, I thought. It was years ago when I watched it. I believe, I still have the DVD of that movie. Yes, DVD and not VHS tape . But DVDs are long gone; I will have to check N******x to watch that movie again.

Thank you very much, John! The Contax G 45mm was my favorite lens when I used Contax G1 and G2 long time ago. Great images, BTW!

Family long weekend trip to Vegas, stayed at Delano with a decent view of the strip, so of course had to bring my camera along. Through a window so not perfect, but made it work. A7R3 & Tamron 28-75.

I stumbled upon this quaint scene on my sunrise hike recently. I hiked along the river after coming down from the mountain and there was this beautiful mansion perfectly nestled along the river bend. At the end of the property was this mill and nice waterfall. I believe I shot this with my Formatt Hitech 4 stop ND and Loxia 21mm lens.
