This is my third try for comet Neowise that everybody and their mother is photographing, I got to have mine too, good or bad, one shot, single exposure, no blending. The sunset before Newowise appeared was a bonus.

Douglas, that’s one heck of a great image of the comet - I love it! You included the foreground and that makes it wonderful, better than just the comet against the sky. Thank you for sharing!

This is after the peregrine falcon chick to the right grabbed the food that mom carried. Too bad the dead carcass was mostly covered by the chick, except for the foot that barely stuck out.

I went to a farm nearby at 4:15 AM on Monday hoping to see the comet, no luck, on Monday evening I went to the fishing pier where I went last night, it was too cloudy but the sunset was dramatic (picture below). I went back to the pier last night to try my luck again. To be honest, without the other two photographers who also happened to be there for the comet, I would have had a tough time spotting the comet. They used apps to locate it. I am not into astro photography so this is more of a documenting event for me.

In the last picture I see a (noise) pattern, is this caused by the compression or can you also see it in the original?
