This hooded merganser just finished devoured a fairly large crayfish. He immediately began his victory dance . Actuality, he was taking a bath but his pleasure was showing really well in the image. The legs of my tripod was completely flat but the bank of the water at this spot was approximately 2 feet high to get the desired low position of the lens. Oh, well...

I often just wander around towns and look for communal gatherings - like here at the standpipe in Diskit. Many folks actually really enjoy the experience, me too. It's a kind of reverse social distancing .. you meet people in an organic fashion this way. And adding that 50mm lenses have their place for intimate portraits like this one.
