Some of the first shots with the 35mm that have impressed me. Well seen.
I appreciate the kind feedback. The majority of shots with this lens are actually quite good. I think the bad ones (bokeh related) simply get the most attention, which is unfortunate. I’ll keep happily snapping away with this one.
A wider view of that frozen waterfall I shared recently. Hopefully this gives you an idea how massive the surrounding rocks are compared to the water. I liked the gentle S curve formed by the rock formations leading down to the waterfall.
I have decided to keep the 7Artisans 75mm/1.25 and wanted to try it in my usual farm landscapes around home. Unfortunately the good light disappeared almost immediately, so I only got this small series of barn shots (all at f/1.25). Since then I have taken some after dark shots in town and some in the forest and love how it rendered that.

Here's a small homage in B&W to Helena and her terrific shots of Norway. (Sorry, no shallow DOF! ) Appropriately, this is a building I've featured many times, across the street from the Sons of Norway hall in Aberdeen, WA. Some major tree thinning on the hill behind this structure.
