Great feather detail and lightning, Joshua.
Really lovely B&W series, Helena. No matter the lens, your pictures always have a special touch to them.
Bob: Congrats on your Loxia 25. You've already put it to great use for sure.
Phillip: Thanks for this very informative, honest and balanced review of the 35 1.8. The lens is no world beater, but still looks like a solid option with some compromises involved.
This is the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office taken with the new to me CV 12. I'm still debating whether I need to send this lens in, as I have a couple of shots where the left side is rather weak. In this shot it looked OK, though.

Thanks Chris! Love the Tokyo shot!
Here's a 4 image pano with the Loxia 25.
Thanks, Bob. Excellent pano. I really like those vibrant orange tones in the sky and their reflection. You also did a great job in preventing any movement from creeping in.
My first shot with my A7RIV on a trip. In Los Angeles for a business meeting and decided to drive up the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu for dinner. I stopped along the road side when I came upon this amazing tribute to the victims of September 11th. The 12th annual Waves of Flags placed on the sloping green lawn at Alumni Park at Pepperdine University in Malibu. There are 2,887 American flags for each American life lost and 90 international flags representing people from other countries.
Beautiful sunset in the background and a wonderful memorial and remembrance to all the victims and their families!
Taken hand held as my tripod was packed and in the trunk with little light left to grab the picture. Probably should have realized I didn't need such a high ISO but I was rushing
I replaced my original post with one that I reprocessed but used the Topaz DeNoise AI Program to help eliminate the high ISO noise of the original. I'm pleased with he results.

Nice capture!
Just too much noise for my taste - I am sure the 1000 iso you used should provide better results with this camera.
Perhaps you should check which way to process this or use a different denois-software ?

He used 4000, not 1000, but that was my first thought too. Something really weird is going on here, even 12,800 wouldn't be that noisy!
Playing with my new Sunway wormdrive macro rail. A7R3+90FE
Took 2 attempts as in the first, the Raven's skull was covered in dust - 36 stacked images - Zerene Stacker

Yes it was at ISO 4000 but it was also very dark and I pulled 3 stops or so out of it on LR. I didn’t spend any real time trying to adjust the noise in LR or one of the other programs I have. Maybe I’ll take some time with it and see if I can improve it when I get some time.

Although the noise is noticeable but it doesn't diminish the beauty of that image. You did a great job capturing it, Chuck! So, there was zero adjustment is LR in regards to the noise at all, huh? And you are right, if after you have played with that noise reduction setting, just the masking helps a lot, or run a noise reduction program then, the noise aspect wouldn't be an issue anymore.
