Yea, that snake is freaky looking. Have to add a few with the Zeiss 100mm Makro after seeing some posted. Mosquitos so bad around here you cant hardly go outside without getting attacked.
A7, testing my Canon 35 2f IS WO, seems like this will be my 35 albeit heavier and larger esp. w/metabones adapter and much much slower AF, I don't have to deal w/the dreaded de-centered lens issue. Is the decentered 35 FE issue really that prevalent or just a smaller percentage of them, seems like people make a mountain out of a molehill!
I continue to be amazed at the quality of your photos, there is a look to them that is really unique. I had thought that much of the look was the timing and location of your photos in the German countryside, a lovely saturated green look, and the timing of your shots. I had the impression that you were taking most of your photos at first light.
Yet these photos have a similar look and I don’t feel that they were taken in similar circumstances. I know that some time ago you posted a couple of shots with the Lightroom adjustments, could you let us know what you did that give these photos that unique Phillip Reeve look? This would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Phil,
Very nice shot! The FE 35 is an excellent lens. There have been a number of decentered FE 35's, but I think for the most part that have been fine. Test it out, and of course the lenses are in stock, so change it immediately if you are not happy. Unlike Leica, there may be a 3 month wait!
No time to shoot anything today (making a picture frame) so I popped a couple of shots of my son's small plant from school These are with the Minolta 35-70/3.5 in macro mode.
In other news, I attempt to de-fungus my Minolta 50-135/3.5 and ended up destroying it. Oh well, there went $11!
Nice macro shots Jeremy! Very nice cars pics , Ebookman. Phil...Love the meter shot...Really! The Canon 35 IS loooks really good!
A few shots from today with the CV 50 1.5 ASPH. This lens has really nice bokeh!

I hung out this morning with the other Denver geeks at our local Comic Con. It’s nothing like San Diego (the biggest stars in attendance- Bruce Campbell, Walter Koenig, Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar and no film deals are made here) but there are a few that go all out with their costumes. Here’s the best of the bunch. All with the a7 and Elmarit-M 28 vIII wide open.
And, well… I understand the psychological motivation behind cosplay. But when your cosplay alter ego starts wearing costumes, then there might be something else going on there.
And my personal favorites, partly because it’s my favorite Futurama episode and partly because it’s how much effort I would put into a costume if I ever wore costumes. Support the brain slug party!

All I did was to apply my usual LR Profile which I use for most of my images. The snake image was taken inside, I am not sure of the lightsource but I think it was artifical.
