This 1930's building is the former Gaumont/Odeon cinema and sits at the eastern end of Union Street in Plymouth. It hasn't been a cinema for a number of decades (usually a nightclub of some sort) and recently escaped becoming the headquarters of God TV. There's no certainty as to its future as is the case with many grand old buildings in this part of Plymouth.
Wow, what amazing shots from Iceland , France , Peru , UK and places I have no idea where !!!
Gentlemen, you never disappoint.
Now here is my very modest contribution of a lesser known area, my garden .
Life of the Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly is shown on this one branch , from the beginnings of laying the egg, to the egg and the caterpillars.
My long term interest in Tibetan art entails many years of photographing the interiors of Tibetan monasteries. I find content no one knows about, including many specialists, many/most of whom more or less deserted the geographic region of Central Tibet from the time of the 2008 Olympics. In-between trips, I'll try to post a fair number of images of this material, for something a little different. Here are a few to show how well or otherwise the Sony gear went. Most of this work is at ISO 4000-5000, always in ambient light. These are from the 55/1.8 (I was an early adopter, first shipment), it's always impressed me for this kind of detail-dependent documentary style.
