I had an impromptu opportunity to photography some of a friend's woodworking skills while out taking pictures of his forested property in the Cispus Valley near Mt. Rainier, WA. Sorry for the lack of tripod for the interior shots, but wanted to show the level of his craftsmanship. A professional painter of homes and commercial properties, he is building his involvement in custom furniture making using resources of old maple and cedar (much fallen in storms on his property), doing the milling of wood himself. I've taken many pictures of his quaint and quixotic exterior decorations and posted here over recent years, but this puts a new wrinkle on his creativity. He also built the out-building housing these, including dressing the logs uses as uprights and support beams. I'll have to go back with tripod and lights someday to properly document all the interesting pieces!
Visited Multnomah Falls and came away with a pretty different looking photo than you normally see. Love that natural flare. Taken with A7R3 and 24-105.
Another from my trip to Glacier NP. The wild flowers were in full bloom. I've been to Glacier twice before over the last 15 years and I always said I would love to see the wild flowers there. Well it finally happened and I really enjoyed seeing them in person.
