Here are some shots documenting the work I did on this trip to repair walls (cracks and pealing wall paper) and floors (scraped and applied light stain to even, then satin polyurethane), and paint ceiling and trim. Whew!
First shot is at 15mm and nearly uncropped, the second is at 12mm and is considerably cropped, especially from ceiling, but also the left side. The camera was obviously angled in different directions, on purpose.
I don't usually recommend including three walls with ultra wide angle lenses, but sometimes you need it for documenting, if not for beautiful pictures -- it does add a strong element of unreality to have too much of three walls showing.
A great opportunity to put the Sony 12-24G to good use! This is a terrific lens.

I drove out here at 11pm to photograph the Milky Way, but a coastal fog rolled in and settled over Santa Cruz. In the darkness, the deserted beach was quite eerie, filled with the sounds of crashing waves against the shore and rocks. Here, I tried to capture that unsettling scene with a square composition; the viewer's eye repeatedly drawn back to the center as if being sucked into the maw.
