Scott, both are great but personally, I like the color version better. There are no details or significantly less details in the B&W version for my taste.

Excellent as always! I've noticed recently you've been using the Sony 90mm and 100-400 for your macro type shots, and less of the Zeiss, any particular reason?
Thank you !
I have sold my 100MP

after the test today with A9 and 90 f2.8
I can say that A7rii performs better picture quality than A9 with the macro lens on it
Yes i know that A9 may not be made for such types of pictures .. but I am not satisfied of today's results
Ronny, thank you so very much! And again, your macro insect images are truly superb!

This is the spot where a scene of the movie the Gladiator was filmed. The road leading to the Podero or now Agriturismo is dirt road and it lends itself well for the time period, of course. And quite a few tourists, mostly men , tried to photograph themselves at the exact spot where the gladiator stood in the movie. The mountain in the background is Monte Amiata.
This is an image taken last month at Gatorland in Florida. Image cropped but straight out of camera and taken with tripod mounted 100-400mm GM and A7rIII.
I am going through the images of this bird and would like to process them. Anyone know what imature wading bird this is? Immature/fledgling Tricolored Heron

Much appreciated.

Rich, I believe you would have a better chance in getting your answer by posting this in the Nature and Wildlife Forum rather than in Gear Forum here. Just saying.... Nicely captured though .

A couple of shots from a recent trip to Pittsburgh. If you ever go to Pittsburgh you must take the Duquesne Incline car up to Mt. Washington for some excellent views of the city surrounded by the three rivers (Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela). The street that runs from the Duquesne Incline down to the Monongahela Incline is Grandview Avenue and there are houses, condos and restaurants with amazing views below. There are several overlooks positioned along Grandview with binoculars and perfect to take some shots of the city below.
