Joshua: The mix between light and shadows above the lush green hills makes for an impressive landscape. Looks like the trip to Europe was well worth it.
Hi Chris,
Thank you very much! I couldn’t complain about the weather in Italy although it was bad in Austria and it was more a mixed bag in Holland. But yes, at the end, it was worth it.
I enjoy your pano image of the seemingly huge cherry tree and its reflection - well captured!
This image is from last Sunday at my favorite burrowing owl site. There are 6 to 7 owlet at the burrow and this little guy was perching on a branch just above the burrow showing off his balancing skill on a single foot, while giving me the stare...

Thanks, Joshua. Good or bad weather, so far the pictures you've posted from your European trip all look stunning, as expected .
More cherry blossoms at night. As you can tell I'm way behind the season with my posts. Loxia 21 at f4.5

Chris: Amazing milky way shots. If you don't mind me asking, did you use a tracker or just stack shorter exposures?
Helena: Looks like you're dealing with pretty extreme weather. Nice shots. I wouldn't dare to shoot in such heavy rain (or is that snow?).
Phillip: Given the bad (mediocre) rep of the FE 28, you demonstrated impressively that the person behind the camera is more important than the lens in front of the cam.
Ronny: Great macro shots. Those colors are sublime.
Jim: Are you slowly but surely moving towards wider lenses? First the 24-105 zooms, then the 28 2, now that old 20mm lens? Do I see a 14 1.8 in your future ?
Douglas: Beautiful series from the zoo.
Just bumbling around my apartment complex, our super creepy stairwell. Nothing special, but conveys how I feel about living next to a bunch of fraternities in Alabama. Tokina 20mm f/2 on Sony A7II.
I captured this scene this morning at our Japanese Tea Garden. What drew my was the curve of the path, the steps, and the bamboo flanking the side. One of my goals is to visit Japan and find scenes like this to photograph.

FE 16-35 GM
Very nice scenery and looks a lot like japan indeed.
I am there almost once a year and can only say it is so worth travelling there, beautiful places like these gardens but also the contrast between these huge cities and the countryside, and great nature and wonderful landscapes as well !
Go there in spring or autumn I would recommend.
