Ha ha, I missed reading the explanation about the lens and just looked at the photo and the title and thought "mhhh no lens info, this must be the FE 28/2 or something else that Joshua doesn't want to confess" lol.
Beautiful shot, Joshua! It's interesting how many variations can be achieved with the same subject -- changing lighting, season, time of day, lens, and processing. Yours is very crisp and unique vision of this lovely area.

Thank you! I had 3 zoom lenses on that trip and the middle one, the 24-105mm was used the most, and the 100-400m was second. Although I had 3 prime lenses although not the FE 28mm f/2 but I left them in my room most of the time and used them for specific purposes only. Will the FE 28mm f/2.0 be able to pull similar images off? You bet, especially at that aperture.

Thank you, Jim! You are correct, I know what you are referring to. We did encounter only a single foggy morning but we saw layers of fogs there that rolled in later on in the morning or even during the day. To a certain degree, it is kind of the way the fog situation in the Bay Area.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the camera was A7r II using the Digital Filter app to tame the sky part of the image. I don’t remember the setting however, but based on my recollection it was around 2-stop less for the sky part.
Just arrived late this afternoon . . . Mitakon 50mm f/0.95. First few images with the lens . . . I like the rendering but will need to play to learn how to get the best out of this lens. All images shot at f/0.95
