Wow, only 27 pages behind after few weeks break. Time to catch up!
Few Sigma 28mm Art photos below. I'm clearly suffering from typical "new lens, testing, not concentrating to good images, shooting wide open"-syndrome. In real life my use of this lens will be f/1.7-2.2 and smaller aperture. f/1.4 and f/1.6 have too much vignetting for my taste; I could not care less for darkening, but less blurry boke on corners I can't stand. Compared to Nikon and Zeiss 28mm f/1.4 lenses it's similar, what comes to vignetting - in my opinion Nikon and Zeiss start to produce uniform boke @ f/2.5-2.8, but Sigma seems to be there already @ f/1.7-2.2, I'm happy that Sigma choose 77mm filter thread, despite drawbacks (=lens size) it was clearly beneficial. It has been odd to shoot similar compositions I usually shoot with normal lens, but using wide angle - feels really odd.
Boke did surprise positively; I like the boke best of all my Sigma Art lenses (40mm, 50mm and 24-35mm). All Sigma Art lenses tens to cause ugly boke when background boke contains detail on suitable frequency. However I have been able to product this phenomenon only few times with 28mm, and I shoot many scenes where I would have expected other Sigma Art lenses to produce the ugly boke. Of course when when dynamic range is too much results will be ugly (e.g. shooting inside dark forest and sky visible between trees is 15-20 stops brighter than the actual detail in the scene - typical scenario for me = reason why I avoid showing sky between trees...).
More or less only real disappointment for me was that Sigma Art 24-35 zoom is as good or better f/2.5 for my shooting scenarios. If I would have known, it could he hard to justify purchasing 28mm Art.

Really weird shooting wide angle for scene like this, normally would choose normal lens - Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/1.4, 1/60s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 100, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm

Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/1.4, 1/60s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 100, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm

Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/1.4, 1/50s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 100, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm

Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/1.4, 1/80s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 100, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm

Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/1.4, 1/40s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 100, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm
Real life usage is most likely on smaller aperture, which gives uniform boke all the way to corners, like this....

Sigma 28mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art @ f/2.8, 1/20s, Sony A7r mkII @ ISO 200, Nisi Pro Nano HUC C-PL 77mm
....or like this:
