Many thanks. I’ll sometimes shoot in B&W mode as a preview but usually end up editing Sony files. Fuji lets you manipulate highlight and shadow tone and could get them where I wanted in camera, Sony not so much unfortunately.
Edits were done in ACR. I like their B&W emulations as a starting point but still usually tweak to increase contrast a bit.

I really like the classical look here .
The old town of Alkmaar, North Holland. These houses are approximately 300-year old. People still live in the upper levels but the street level apartments were converted to stores or eating establishments.
