hi!

very nice shot.

for my learning an improvement how do you stack? in gimp (or similar program) with transparency mask?

do you utilize (not necessarily here) a flash to improve contrast of forground elements like the rocks? if so how do you set it up?

Regards and thanks in advance for any info

I typically just use Photoshop's Align and Stack functions. No flash used in the image of the waterfall. I start out in Lightroom and process the raw file of one of the images to be stacked and copy the adjustments to the other raw files to be stacked. I transfer
the images to Photoshop where I continue with Aligning the images to be stacked, crop if needed, and then Stack the images. I then finish processing in Photoshop with mainly some local adjustments including luminosity masked based adjustments and dodge and burning.

Hope that helps,
Chuck

I did some testing with the Sigma 60-600mm Sports on my A7RIII today, I swear for a couple times the new Animal Eye AF picked out the eye of the big goose.

Ready? Jump!

I did it!
