I like very much,(if I were American I would probably say "love",but "love" for me is the word that has a great weight and power,so I use it very seldom),to see the pictures you get with the good, old, humble MD 35-70/4. :-)
Thank you for the wonderful comment. I hope I do the Minolta justice with my photos.
For your interest, a few scenes with comparison photos from Sony a7R2 with Zeiss ZE 28/2 plus MC-11, and Canon 5DsR with Zeiss ZE 18/3.5. These lenses are my most recent used purchases, so I've been putting them through their paces to get acquainted with their strengths and weaknesses (or quirks).
I know we are on a Sony forum, but hope others are interested in how the different bodies compare when using generally high quality lenses. Granted, I'm talking apples, oranges, and bananas, but the overall image output and compatibility between brands is something that always keeps me interested.
I've used LR to make the images looks somewhat comparable, but not intending to match color or exposure exactly.

I moved closer and crouched down for this 18mm shot.

I like them both and technically speaking I cannot find faults to any of them. Just as a personal preference I’m inclined to the 18mm FL here as it makes everything look more spacious and a little bit more dramatic.
