On my recent trip to Venice I decided to use the 7artisans 28mm 1.4 FE+ instead of the Voigtlander VM 35mm 1.7 + 5m PCX.
Both lenses have different strenghts and weaknesses, but honestly, for whatever application I can pick either and be happy with the results.
And when shooting stopped down like I did here it is almost impossible for me to tell them apart (focal length difference aside).
There is at least a pair of peregrine falcons that nests at the cliff off the Pacific Coast. The background here are patches of yellow mustard flowers covering a part of the slope. This lens is seriously tack sharp and renders the bokeh nicely but too bad its AF is no match to this super fast flying falcons. Plus, to catch that action, you basically have to handhold lens/camera combo and at my age, I simply couldn't handhold a 600mm lens anymore . I had to resort to a native GM 100-400mm to catch those acrobatic actions. Images using GM lens is to follow later...
Decided to try 40mm lens, even I don't like shooting with 35mm lenses. Time will show if 40mm is as annoying as 35mm (for me to shoot), or will I get over it.

Those pics are very 3 dimensional...and beautiful contrast and color....oh, and nice compositions as well.
