Bob I was lucky it started out a bit cloudy but it cleared up and I had a full 3 hours of galactic core visible.
I took some pics with my 24 f/1.4 GM lens as well. I’ll have to try and post some of those when I get a chance. That is a great Astro lens! It sucks in so much light it is truly amazing.

That's exactly the lens I was hoping to try out with some astro! Just got mine about a week ago. Can't wait to see what you got.
I realized that my images have been posted far too small! Here is one from "the factory", a quick 3 hour drive from here. A7riii, Leica R 35-70 @ 70mm, ISO 100.
** for some reason, the JPEG version of this is much sharper than what is shown here must downsize a tad....
Chuck: Amazing milky shot on the previous page. Every time I bring my tracker I end up with bad conditions. When I leave the damn thing at home, I get good weather. Crazy pattern.
Jako: Your compositions and subtle post-processing are as inspirational as always.
Tim: Looking forward to more shots with the Batis 40. Curious what this lens can do now that some of the flaws have been corrected.
Bob: Great shots with the 24 GM. How old is that Opton 50, if I may ask?
Birdie: Beautiful coastline shot.
Joshua: That's a perfectly framed and composed bird shot on the previous page. I still haven't found the time to try out the new firmware.
Some more cherry blossoms, so poor Douglas doesn't feel too bad . Two shot pano with the Loxia 35 at f8.
Re: Image posting size - I don't know what the forum rules are, but some posted images are getting so big, I can barely fit them on my 32" 4k monitor! I simply can't browse this thread on my 15" MacBook Pro retina anymore because most images are way too big.
I generally post 1,200px (long edge), which seem small these days. I'm thinking that 1,600px (long edge) might be a good "standard", +/- a few pixels?
Click on one of the images and you’ll get a slideshow of all the images on the page, properly resized to your monitor.
I believe 1600 is indeed a good option.

Chainsaw carving in huge standing "totem" log near Wishkah River of bobcat, mascot of Aberdeen High School. About 40 years old. Shot at angle and telephoto for effect. Taken while shooting previous cantilever bridge pano.
