Tea Kettle Junction on the rough road to the Racetrack Playa in Death Valley. People leave all sorts of interesting tea kettles or mementos to commemorate their trip, some to lost loved ones.

I'm reading Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs right now and the conceptualization of time for that is hard. But with the first picture, I feel like you can see the movement of the rocks and plate tectonics over millions of years in that formation.
One of my favorite subjects to photograph, almost every visit, showing changes in season, vegetation and property care. This lonely little storage building (never seen any signs of habitation), is an Aberdeen icon for me. Rare sunny winter day -- third in a row!
