Lots of impressive shots on those last half dozen pages.
Joshua: Nice close-up compositions with the 24-105.
Ronnie: Amazing series. Those steep cliffs look pretty spectacular.
Werner: Amazing landscape shots from Lofoten.
Bob: Beautiful eagle shots. My first outing with the big lens has been far less successful.
Douglas: Great airshow formation. The sunrise shots from a few pages back are impressive too.
Helena: Beautiful warm winter light in those shots.
Robert: Great light and color on those sandys.
Birdie: Welcome to the big Sony thread. Your shots with your new Sony gear are as impressive as those with your Nikon setup. Goes to show that the person behind camera matters more than the gear.
A sunset from last month with the 24-105 at 40mm f9.

This lens is "the latest Planar 50mm" from Zeiss; Loxia is derived from ZM 2/50 and FE "planar" 50mm f/1.4 is actually more like Distagon design (Planar is there just in the name of lens, it looks NOTHING like double gauss what Planar refers to) like all modern large & super performance 50mm lenses. I hoped this lens to be "Contax N 50mm on mount which could be shoot with A7". And it kind of is that, but Zeiss & Sony went too far with internal focusing (only rear groups move when focused) and few asphericals; lens is technically well optimized at price of losing Planar design boke smoothness....Show more →
Samuli, now that Metabones has a Contax N to Sony E adapter, I was wondering if you’ve been tempted to purchase a Contax N 50/1.4. I did consider it but could not justify the cost of lens plus adapter, given that I already have the Sony/Zeiss A-mount 50/1.4 (as well as the FE 50/1.4 and Classic ZE/ZF 50/1.4 lenses).
