It’s a Zeiss 35mm f/3.5 off a Yashica T4. I re-housed it in a M mount body cap, and focus with a M to Sony E Helicoid adapter. Makes one hell of a pancake with a fixed f/3.5 aperture. But like a lot of short focal length wides, it’s smears pretty bad on a stick sensor.
First post on the thread as a new and happy Sony user.
A couple of the first shots with the A7Riii and 100-400 with 1.4TC.
I am more than pleased with the autofocus . I was not prefocusing, but rather tracking or trying to track these small bees Acquiring initial focus was not bad at all . The high ISO is fantastic.
My 4 am wake up and 1.5 hours driving this morning has been rewarded with a cloud inversion. The image is a 9 image vertical pano with the 1635GM@35mm and Sony A7riii and it's pretty much with no PP.
I recently bought a Leica so, after seven and a half years of using Sony cameras exclusively, my attention and my loyalties are now divided. I'm extremely grateful for the encouragement and support I've received in this thread and will continue to post here, though somewhat less frequently than before.
Very similar to my own experience. I'm still in my first year with Leica after six years with Sony. I'm still a Sony photog and that is not going to change any time soon. But Leica has brought a whole new awareness to my work that I hadn't experienced before. Even more surprising to me is how my family and friends are able to distinguish the difference too without any knowledge of the gear that I am using to create images I share.
Very nice, Roberta. 12,800! I keep mine limited to 6400 when birding.

Cross post form the 40 1.2 review thread. Missed focus to the front a little in a rush to get the picture before she decided to come see what this thing was I was pointed at her.
Thanks for the comments Chris, Seabassius and Peire! The weather was absolutely terrible. Occasionally the snow was mixed with sharp grains of ice and it really hurt, even through the hood of my rain coat, so when I took the last photo I preset focus and then shot blindly straight into the wind really quick. After a couple of hours of this I was soaked and felt completely "blown through" and freezing, but it's worth it.
Thank you Henena! It means a lot coming from you. The images in the last 5 or 6 pages are truly inspirational, Wow!! Here is my humble submission from the frozen world, first three were from yesterday morning, the last one was sunrise this morning.
