A shooting buddy and I went to this location in an attempt to photograph hooded mergansers hunt for crayfish. They were there alright but apparently they had a big meal for New Year's celebration. Here is the consolation price.... a common white egret that jumped around to get fishes to come out. Egrets are common alright but the lighting and pose make it a passable image...
Damn, Joshua. This is a total stunner, standing out even among all those excellent pictures you've already contributed to this thread.

Thank you for your kind words, Chris! I was a little bit disappointed as the intended target didn’t cooperate, I guess.... .
Anyway, here are two images of a cedar waxwing that cooperated only on a single day out of a total of 4 days. And fortunately, it was worthwhile. It swallowed 3-4 berries in a matter of seconds and it took one to go.
A few from a recent hike. I just brought my 16-35 GM and 100-400 GM with me and they both are such a pleasure to use. A bit heavy but with just the two together for hikes less than 5 miles not a problem. I have to say I really lucked out with this copy of the 16-35 GM. It is sharp at all focal lengths and right to the extreme corners from f/4 and smaller. Really amazing even at long end.
Great pics these last several pages! Helena I love your snow pics!

These trampoline places have generally not been great as far as color cast and lighting in my experience across several establishments. Figured I'd give the 105 a shot in there to see how it would do. Just looking over some of the stuff now, it appears to have done better than my other setups in the past. Pretty close to SOOC with a slight tweak to highlights and then an exposure lift.
Took out the a7ii yesterday for the first time in almost a year, I forgot how wonderful this camera is. Thinking of maybe picking up an Rx1 as an everyday camera to get me back into the early sony mirrorless sensors. Worth it?
At the current prices absolutely. I generally think of the same.
