Been a while, but took the boyfriend out to do some photos : )
Honestly, my favorite was the one of him on the dumpster. He saw it and immediately said that he wanted a photo on it lol. I think I'm going to work toward my portrait photography being less about getting something that is technically good and more about a cooperative experience w/me and the subject. Those always seem to be my best results (other than candids).

This is a double exposure image. I set the camera on bulb then lit the inside of each kiln with an orange gel covered flashlight. On walking back, I removed the orange filter and lit the outside. This resulted in a 261s exposure with short star trails over the kilns. I didn't like the star trails so I took another exposure for the stars.
Got up and took a hike hoping for a sunrise. I was at elevation and the clouds were dominant, but they also made for some wild effects and colors. Here are a few:
Am I the only person to find this style of architecture imposing and sort of prison-like? I'm sure that wasn't the original intention, but sometimes walking through the space is quite different than surveying the model.
Joshua: That shot from Brono is a true stunner.
Werner: Those icile shots are stunning.
Stephen: Amazing sunrise shots. The colorful sky lighting up the snow coated trees is a sight to behold.
Helena: Those snow macros have wonderful clarity and light. Amazing job.
Jim: I really like that "oak series". The warm autumn sunlight makes for great lighting.
Robert: That's a pretty impressive cave.
