This is one of my first tries with star photography and my Sony A7. I'm really stunned how many stars got visibly on the picture.

The following shots were taken with a very low cost lens/adapter combination that produces quite impressive results. On my A7r I mounted an M42 mount Asahi Super-Takumar 50mm F/1.4 lens with a $20 (ebay) FMTI Adjustable Focusing Macro To Infinity M42 Adapter. This creates a fast, low cost Macro lens. Here are my first shots with this combo which costs well under $100.
