Great images, as always. What are you thoughts on the C/Y 85/1.4, particularly at f/1.4 & f/2? I've long thought about getting one, and prices seem reasonable for good examples, but it's sometimes hard to sift through the forums for meaningful posts. The other option is the FE 85/1.8, which is going for about the same price, is slightly slower and has AF. Choices, choices.
Thank you whyfi.First of my 85/1.4 pictures is at f1.4,the second is f2 and the third f8.This lens has some LoCA at f1.4 and f2,but nothing really meaningfull. All easily managable.Oof blurr at wider apertures is usually nice either. From f4-5.6 sharpness across the FF frame is very good.Colours and 3D like other, better C/Y Zeisses.
Definitely pleased with the optical performance of this lens... This is from yesterday on the A7r III and this morning, I tried out the AF performance of this lens on the A9, too and I will post my findings.

I'm testing the EOS R with the RF 24-105mm this week, so I went out to Hocking Hills this morning. Of course, since I'm reviewing the Canon, I shot almost everything with it, but I shot a few shots with the A7 III as well (really as a means of creating comparison images). I posted the Canon version of this shot on the Canon forum, but thought I'd share the Sony image as well.
As an aside, the EOS R is a pretty good camera...the things it does right, it does very right...and the things that it doesn't do well, it really doesn't do well. It's better competition for Sony that I first thought on reading about it. I still think that it falls short in several key areas, but it's overall a pretty solid camera.
I prefer this shot with A7iii and Tamron than Canon and 24-105 ( but Canon also looks nice )
looks to be a little better details and slightly better sharpness

I'm really looking forward to your findings, Joshua. Optically, the lens doesn't disappoint, it seems, but then again, AF with the Sony bodies has been the bigger concern.
Beautiful autumn shots from Joshua, Ronny, Philip, Peire, Jordan and Sebboh on those last few pages.
Geoff: Great shots with the 100-400 GM and the TC's. At some point, I have to see how those TC's perform myself.
Rene: Beautiful shots of this Swiss alps conveying the sense of scale of the place.
First foilage shot of the season with the 100-400 GM at f6.3.

Shots from hike today at Bandelier National Monument outside Santa Fe NM USA with A7R3 and Batis 18 and 24 GM (some of the GM shots cross posted on the 24GM image thread).
