digital_AM: Care to share your thoughts on Batis 18 and FE 16-35 GM? Curious as to why you have both and how you differentiate use... Thanks in advance.
Thank you Darrell. Both Batis and GM are excellent lenses. I find the Batis is just a bit sharper than the GM, especially in the corners. The Batis has a bit more contrast too and I believe it does have a bit less distortion than the GM. The GM excels as a versatile lens with great performance throughout the focal range. I use the Batis 18 primarily if it’s a location I have shot before; otherwise, I will use the GM. The Batis is also an excellent lens for astrophotography.

Beautiful portrait, Joshua. Quite fairy-like. Great use of the fat 85.
Thank you for the praise, Jim and Joshua. Most of the lanscape shots that I've posted in this thread recently were taken around the island. Here is another one from last month, again with the Loxia 21. I too prefer the winter, fewer tourists and bears to worry about. However, the blizzards can be a pain sometimes.
Thank you, Chris! Now, that image from Hokkaido is just spectacular - I love it!

Taking a different approach to portraits or whatever it is called . The exif is from the first image and the second image was captured using an FE 12-24mm f/4 I borrowed from Peter for a few images.
Some street photos with C/Y 50mm/1.7.
There is some motion blur in #2 because she suddenly leaned forward and it was darker than I thought, but I like the connection between them so I kept it.
Thank you Peter for your comment and your visit on my Flickr, that's very kind of you.
I've also posted a lot (some say "too many") of colour pics on that thread...
I wanted to take a slightly different approach to this previously posted image. No big changes, just a little more emphasis on the central lighter area in the distance, and a little taller crop.
