Laze is a combination of saltwater steam, hydrochloric acid, and tiny volcanic glass particles and is generally unpleasant.

A few more Artist Alley shots with the Nikon 50/1.8G and Commlite Pro combo.

So far, it seems the replacement front and back mounts on the Commlite has solved the problem achieving correct focus, and the Nikon lenses are performing well. Overall, the Commlite is sluggish to focus (but accurate AF) compared to Sigma MC-11 with Canon mount lenses. But compared to no other real choices for Nikon G lenses, the Commlite is a great addition to Sony's versatility.
