Not sure if anyone is using the Tamron SP 35 f/1.8 VC on their Sony's but I thought I'd post a few images. Lens is tack sharp even wide open, and only real weakness is CA that I can see. I find the bokeh quite nice, but I'm not one oft the hardcore alt lens guys, so take this with a grain of salt. Any vignetting you see was added in post.
The Tamron SP 35/1.8 is a totally underrated lens. As you say, its only flaw is some CA. I guess it never really caught on because it requires an adapter but I honestly believe that a native version would be close to the FE 35/2 or 35/1.8 that so many have been dreaming of / begging for. In fact, a Batis 35/1.8 need be little more than a slightly modified and rebadged Tamron SP 35/1.8. It even has the mandatory Batis 67mm filter thread. The Tamron SP 45/1.8 is a fraction longer and just as good.

Yeah, I agree but if you have one from your Canon days and you are already adapting Canon glass, well worth keeping IMO. I was so happy to see the corner-to-corner sharpness on the A7R3, should make for some excellent landscape.
The other huge advantage of the Tamron 35mm is the near macro max magnification of 0.4x
Agreed, I really like the lens and it's on my list to get another, but I've been trying to avoid adapted AF. If Sony okay'd release of a native version I'd be quite interested.
