Working on recent images from Sleeping Bear Dunes reminded me to check the previous batch from last October. I've posted this one in color, but decided to do a b&w conversion in line with the others I've done from the recent group. A7RII, Loxia 85mm.
I don't think I've posted this one yet. Around the Sleeping Bear Dunes area, there are a number of pine plantations that are now part of the National Lakeshore. The parallel rows of trunks can make interesting compositions. Here's one that's "compressed" with an Otus 85mm; A7RIII. It's a group of 6 or 7 frames, stacked in Helicon. I would have preferred bright overcast; the light was quite dull when I shot this (not long before sunset), making it difficult to get a good range of tonality from the conversion
Although we have seen many hummingbirds while hiking in the foothills and mountains here in Colorado, up until a few days ago, we have not seen any here in town (Fort Collins).
But, they are now here, thanks to the late-blooming Beebalm flowers my wife planted. Here are a couple shots of what I believe is the dominant one, a Rufous Hummingbird.
Sony ILCE-7RM3
FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM

This is a twenty-five second exposure taken at 10 PM. Sunset was 9:05 The amazing Canada Goose and the Blue Heron held the pose for the the entire 25 seconds.
The 3D look of this image is intoxicating! And that Speedster is also intoxicating! haha
Please tell us more about the Visionar lens you've used. I looked on eBay, and it seems to be a projector lens. I've used projector lenses (Bell & Howell 16mm Proval f/1.2 and f/1.4), but only on APS-C because they won't cover the FF sensor. Does the Visionar 100/1.6 cover FF? How are you mounting it? I use the B&H by "freelensing" (holding it up to the camera body with no lens mounted) on a cheap Fuji XA-1.

You can find more info about the history of the lens and about my adaptation (and more pictures) in my flickr album "Carl Zeiss Jena Visionar 109mm f1.6".
Please keep in mind that these shots are bokeh panoramas consisting of multiple shots (in this case 40 frames + 1 frame for the car). This helps a lot with the 3D...
