Fir Island Farms Reserve Unit - Skagit County, Washington
An interesting salt-water marshland flyway. Lots of birds and lots of dead trees for some reason. First time I got to use my wife's 24-105. Great lens! Sharp, light, convenient manual focus and a very useful zoom range.

Shots were taken while forcing myself to use my 24-70 f4, i have been thinking about a switch to the 24-105 f4 but money is a thing. After that day of shooting i decided to keep my 24-70 and just enjoy the fact that i think i have a good copy.
Sony a7R + 24-70 F4 edit in Capture One Pro 11.1 using film presets and tweaking them.
This is my first effort of using the Canon 500 f/4L IS II + 2x TC mk III + metabones V on the A7R3. I was really surprised that it had no trouble AF on the edge of the moon with no hunting. I had to rely on AF because I had changed a setting and couldn't magnify my image in LV even though it was enabled. Luckily it was spot on and later I worked out I had used a setting to lock the joystick so had to long press the Fn button to unlock it, then I could press it to magnify my image.
Also took the same image with the 5D4 as well. That was good but you can see the extra 12MP of the Sony helped bring out a bit more detail even though both were heavily cropped. Normally I used to use 1400mm on FF, but Canon changed the TC's with the mk III's and you can no longer stack them.
