Another beach scene from the dog beach... 100-400mm mkII, A7RIII. Overall I'm very pleased with my new A7RIII and using my L glass. More shots in the near future as I get more and more time with this great camera.

40% crop from 100-400mkII at 400mm - Alaska 737 flying out of San Diego airport. There's some slight lack of sharpness due to my shutter being a bit too slow but not bad for dusk. Tracking was great at 10fps.
Nothing but the sound of native birds and the damp smell of the beech forest, the soft tread of your feet along on the path. Thats what the moment is all about. The fresh clean cool air filling your lungs, the green glow of the lush foliage. Keeps you moving, keeps you looking, keeps you using all your senses to soak it in.
There is nothing like a New Zealand native forest, for me its to capture this moment in both my mind and my camera. Plan on spending longer than you think, you have to seek, compose, recompose, keep connected to nature before you find that one image that tells the story.
Great description and shot.
Reminded me of Himalayas.
Can’t help but quote from Rudyard Kipling’s short story called 'Namgay Doola' that I have memorized. It's a story set in the mountains of Tibet. And the passage goes, '... and the last puff of the day wind brought from the unseen villages the smell of damp wood-smoke, hot cakes, rotting pine cones and dripping undergrowth. That is the true smell of the Himalayas, and, if once, it creeps into the blood of a man, that man will, at the last, leaving all else, return to the hills to die.'

i really liked the viewfinder and high iso is noticeably better. i feel like the IBIS is still behind my olympus that i had 10 years ago, but it's still nice to have.
Just got my RII back and got a nice slap in the face with how terrible that viewfinder in for MF magnification. Oh well, BSI sensor is worth it. If Techart ever gets the TA-GA3 working with the A7III I'll upgrade. In the mean time, storm clouds rolling in with the ZF 25/2.8.
Slightly different style, I'll admit I immediately liked them, but didn't recognize them as yours and had to scroll to see who posted. Excellent use of the 50/1.7!
