As a few sun rays started to shine on the fog covered lowland and selected parts of the Bromo National Park in Indonesia. Mount Bromo is the open crater in the center right area where you see some smoke rises. What a jaw-dropping view!

Absolutely amazing images in the last couple pages. Went to an airshow over the weekend, it was overcast the whole time, shooting grey colored jets against grey sky wasn't fun. For most of the in flight shots I used the Nikon D500 and the Sigma 150-600mm Sports. The Sony 100-400 is not long enough most of the time. The shots below were taken with the A7RIII and the 100-400 GM. The last one was actually a Canadian Royal Air Force F18 participating in the show.
It was a pleasure photographing the historic Fort Sam Foulois House. Here are some of my favorites. Most of the interiors were shot with the Batis 18 and the others with the FE 16-35 GM.

"Originally built in 1906, this two-story, wood-framed structure is located on the historic Fort Sam Houston Army Post in San Antonio and currently serves as bed & breakfast style hotel for visiting guests to the post. The building is named after US Army Lieutenant Benjamin Foulois, who is credited with flying the first military aircraft from the Wright Brothers, effectively giving birth to Military Aviation. The first test flights themselves were performed just outside this building on the parade grounds of Fort Sam. This history, and many surviving architectural details of the original building, give this place a unique historical charm that is appreciated by it's guests. However, as most older buildings do, they fall into deteriorating conditions over time and eventually need a comprehensive restoration effort to ensure the building continues to serve as a functioning asset to the surrounding community. "

FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS I look at this landscape on the computer screen and it is hard to believe sometimes that it is a real place.
This little romanesque/gothic church is in continuous service since it was consecrated in 1224.Not the oldest in the city,but has been open with no break despite all wars and commotions outside.Very little redecoration of the interior has been done over that period.Much older and bigger cathedral on the oposite side of the street has been rebuilt 5 times during the last 1000 years for example.I like to visit it's atrium in the morning and soak with ancient tranquility.
Just a bit of fun with the ocean in Rhode Island. Two shots combined taken on a tripod; first was with just the CPL and shot at 1/30 sec. to get the water crashing into the rocks; second was with the CPL + 10 Stop Lee IRND filter to smooth the water with a 30 second exposure.
