Your processing seems to have taken a different turn Phillip ! Far more contrasty. Why ? A change in software or processing techniques ? I like both styles BTW.
Thank you very much MedicineMan and philber! Don't know if it's just a honeymoon phase, but currently I'm enchanted by the Monolenses. Most of my photos wouldn't count as pictorial, but like I wrote earlier; Monocle lenses were the main tool for the Pictorialism movement which started around year 1900 and one of the internationally most well-known photographers was Alfred Stieglitz. For those who are interested here are photos - all new although some look very old - from a recent Pictorial festival in Russia where this style is still very much alive:
Not all are taken with Monocles, but many of them are.
Watching these makes me want to go to northern Russia!

I try to experiment with my processing to improve my technique. Before I never used the shadow/highlights tint and I am probably overdoing it a little at the moment
Got my lazy butt up this morning and shot sunrise and a few after. Yesterday, the sunrise was too cloudy. Today, no clouds. Sigh....is a happy medium too much to ask for? At least there was some fog on the water at the lake....
