I went back to my Iceland folder from March 2015 and discovered quite a bit of images that weren't touched yet. I posted one just recently and here is another one. Again from the same fascinating black beach of Jökulsárlón and similarly, this is also almost monochrome. I also broke the photography rule by stopping down to this much as my filter took a dive at a different place and I needed a longer shutter speed.

In September/October Poof I spent 24 days out west. First 10-11 days the skies will filled with a seriously bad smoke--not good for landscaping, but that didn't matter for this, my trip highlight. I'd always wanted a good view of a Moose

Here's a heavily overcast shot of the lumber baron's brother's mansion next door, finished a few years after the Hoquiam Castle. Sorry -- no interior shots (yet!). Taken from the observations veranda of the Castle's large turret 3rd floor. Heavily adjusted and cropped in LR to get "correct" perspective.
