I have been away in Cornwall for a week followed by almost another week spent catching up with this thread. Impossible to mention all the amazing shots posted during this period but I will say that I was looking forward to seeing Ronny's new Iceland shots and I wasn't disappointed.
Some "body board" surfing - this "shore dump" didn't look too safe but it made using a relatively short lens possible!
Great images on these pages! It is increasingly difficult to keep up with the speed of this thread.
Autumn in the Arizona high country. A7RII with FE 12-24 for first shot and FE 24-70 GM for the second. These lenses are perfect complements for one another. I feel like I should comment on the 12-24 after shooting with the Leica WATE for several years. The 12-24 is a pleasure to use. In a way it is easier to PP than the WATE because it is so much like the 24-70. While it doesn't have the Leica magic, it really responds well to PP in Lightroom and it is a first class lens. This shot was taken at the 12mm setting.
I've been away for 6 weeks in Europe/Morocco and for a few weeks in the planning stages too ! This thread is so time consuming I sadly try to avoid it if pressed for time
The processing has begun and I have a few of Morocco and Prague done already but here's one from the week I spent with my wife in Lofoten. As she can not hike long distances (due to 3 slipped disks 3 years ago) this was as much a planning trip as anything else. I did decide it's a place I need to come back to in Winter and with a tent .... but we had some awesome Aurora displays even though it was at the end of August/early September.
It was good to put the Lofoten shots into storage for a while as I'm looking at them with new eyes 👀 which is both exciting and interesting to see how differently I'm now viewing them.
For this blended long exposure shot we had just arrived in the town and I could see a very promising sunset was forming (at least before the sun dropped behind those mountains!) so I was running (literally) and driving around like 😜 crazy trying to find a spot with an interesting foreground (most of the town just had a straight drop to the water) and some leading lines ... of sorts 😊
Thank you! I haven't joined the Canon thread yet. I got drawn to this one and haven't been part of any other. Probably should since I shoot a lot with the Canon
