Colour wise that image on my browser looks a wee bit different from what I see in Lightroom.
It was saved in sRGB, the original is in Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGB both of which have wider gamut.
Does that account for the difference or do I have a colour management miss match somewhere
Earlier this evening, these light rays spilled into in my family room from our windows. Everything was soft and glowy. I bet our lucky plant was loving it.

If you compare sharpness (on forum size images) for example this Loxia 50 image and this Loxia 21 image then all 16-35 images have much weaker micro-contrast and sharpness (pick any, non of them are even close to as sharp as Loxia photos).
I had essentially the opposite experience. I do not really care for zoom lenses, because I generally prefer faster apertures. I crave micro-contrast and sharpness. However, I had the Loxia 21 and Zony 16-35/4 at the same time and saw no real difference with the Loxia. The Loxia was not worse. It just was not the leagues better that it should have been and really was not the ZE 21 but smaller. It was different. In spite of all of my biases, I actually preferred the zoom and have been very happy with the micro-contrast and edge sharpness at infinity.
