Gregg, I really love your second image above. It reminds me of the Golden Keyhole at Pfeiffer Beach near Monterey.
Thank you Joshua....This keyhole is on te north end of what's known as "It's Beach" here in Santa Cruz. The beach extends on one end from where the Lighthouse sits, to the keyhole, roughly 300 yards at most. Just beyond the Lighthouse is "Steamer's Lane", one the most renown surfing spots.
Well, compared to the hummers in Costa Rica... .
THEY were most excellent...
Yes, Joshua, puhlease! Gorgeous shot! Gregg too, love your beach shots, puhlease don't hold back posting more!
And Peire, Chuck (congrats on the new lens!), Joshua (of course!), Helena (what else is new?), Jim, MaTIHH (I LOVE it!), René (as ever), Phillip (once more), Mike (and again), Micko (great use of that lens), MedicineMan (Love that timelapse, not that the pics are weak, BTW), Danny (you use challenging lenses, for the 'tog to shine all the more?)
And Jonathon, Joshua, Danny, thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated!
I have to share this as well, even if the image is so-so. The morning fog was still too thick, contrast low, and the crop is unfortunate. I had noticed a little nervousness among the herons and was too busy capturing them as they took off to notice what was really happening, it was not until I got home and looked at the images on-screen that I saw the otter entering the frame from the left chasing the herons....
Few more from Niagara parks made with Leica Tele-Elmar 135mm f4.
Very small, very sharp lens with pleasant rendering IMO.
Perfectly combined with a small mirrorless camera.
I would like to buy instead of it elmarit 135/2.8, but I do not think that it will be convenient to use because of goggles.
Wonderful! Just so many beautiful elements coming together here.
But brings back an almost bad memory. I was chased by a buffalo outside of Banff....and aspen grove
saved my life.
