I met this guy Roni by accident taking street photos today. Spent the whole night listening to his view of the world. Took some candid shots of him while on the way to the local pub.

First test shot with the Minolta 70-210 f/4 Beercan. It was a bit dark and I don't have the LA-EA4, so this was a tricky one to get, especially since this guy won't stay still.
Atlanta partial skyline. These two buildings caught my eye as I scanned the ATL skyline during our blue hour shoot. I like the juxtaposition of old and new architecture represented in these tall giants.
First shot posted with Zeiss 25/2.8 ZF. I decided to get both Z* 25mm lenses around the same time, this one because I was intrigued by its close focus ability, the other for its superior quality. Actually, both are very nice; this 25/2.8 is no slouch, other than going into the corners at close range. Too bad it was never made in a ZE version; it's one of 3 lenses that I have with "backward focus", all of which drive me crazy.
This is from the Potawatomi Greenhouse in South Bend, Indiana; A7RII.
After noticing an improvement in the AF performance using Canon lenses from a FW upgrade of the A9, I wanted to try out my Canon 400mm lens. I took it out to a local park where the elusive pin-tailed Whydahs hang out. Yes, I did see them and they are simply too far away and covered behind leaves, etc. Probably the burrowing owls in flight would be a better bettor that but I will be out-of-town this weekend.
So, it was a complete failure trying to evaluate how much improvement the tracking capability with the new FW but while there I was able to catch this tiny humming bird with the setup without any issues. Too bad the hummer was feeding under a canopy of that tree that bears small yellow flowers making the lighting conditions tough. A part of the sun that filtered through the leaves created an interesting back lighting. While still no answer to the question on improvement, I got something semi-decent to post here .
