Only 10 pages to go, and I'll be caught up with this thread!
Each time I visit, I'm struck by the number and variety of excellent photos (and photographers) in this thread. It's among the highest quality ongoing presentations I've seen.
I have a few new things to add. First up, from a trip yesterday to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, about 50 miles west of me, on the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Light was harsh and it was too hot to stay as long as I'd planned, but I brought back a small group of images from the several hours that I stayed. Here's one from the Dune Succession Trail at West Beach. There is a long series of wooden stairs (more on those later) that springs up from the sand, along with jack pines near the bottom, transforming to deciduous woodland at the dune tops. A7RII; Zeiss 25/2 ZE.
Another from yesterday's trip to West Beach, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore...wooden staircase along the Dune Succession Trail. Infrared (850nm): A7R; Loxia 50mm.
Two images from this evening with A7r and 100-400/4.5-5.6 FE GM OSS. I must be spoiled by the AF performance of my A9 and had forgotten about the A7r being AF challenged by scenes like this.
I like going back to use fairly recent cameras and being astonished anew how rapid the progress is currently being made.
