Slipped behind for a couple of hours, and -Wow!!- how many people post outstanding shots!
Joshua, John, Ronny, René (awesome jigsaw shots!), Gregg (I love your B&W), Bob, Brett, Chuck, Dale (your fog shots!), Karl-Heinz, Nadim, Kevindar, Stephen, Viramata, Philipp...
The very length of that list, and I am sure I have forgotten more than a couple of deserving 'togs is a tribute to all of you and Fred's awesome community!
Thank you, Philippe! You are still forgetting someone.... yourself . Credit where credit is due to the great images you posted

I was fortunate to witness this owl and its favorite food, a green iridescent June bug that he caught mid-air. No, I didn't capture the actual moment of that. The my setup wasn't up to snuff and I didn't even bother but here is the owl, toying with its catch. Cross posted in the N&W board.
Hi Kevin -- Great shots and great start with the Sony a7R2! With a decent AF adapter the Canon lenses do an excellent job with Sony bodies. Great shots of the girls -- really like that 35/1.4 reading shot -- nice set up for that sort of casual portraiture. Looking forward to more shots and your views (and comparisons?) as you delve into the Sony FF imaging.

I am a novice here, as I just received the a7rII. currently using it exclusively with my canon lenses. Has not had much of a chance to shoot with it yet, but here are some shots.
This thread is a pleasure to visit. so many wonderful varied images.
Thanks very much Gunzorro. I have always enjoyed your posts and insight and images, On Canon, and Sony.
So far the biggest challenge for me has been colors. Skin tones. some of the presents that I used for my canon using camera neutral, dont work quite as well with sony in LR. I do not like the Rendering on adoboe standared. I go back and forth between camera standard, and camera neutral.
Beyond that, I have been very happy with the camera. though I miss the joy stick for setting af point, I have assigned 35 the middle back button to focus settings, and then can move the focus point with the back wheel accordingly. Its a two step.
I really like the silent shooting, which I have assigned to C1.
For video, I am using my sony apsc lenses, the 16-50 and 35 1.8, and 50 1.8. this way I have very good AF. I shoot in super 35 4k, and tested fov of sony kit lens16-50 vs my canon 16-35, and its the same, which works perfectly,
I have been quite happy with AF with even decen tracking. I have been using the samall AF point, which worked surprisingly well with slow moving objects.
I am still very much learning the camera, having had it for 2 weeks, and not much chance to shoot with it. Hopefully i will head up t o Eastern Sierra this weekend and get to use it more.

I used to experiment with Camera Standard and Camera Neutral (and once in a while, landscape, but found it a bit over the top for me), I now stick with Adobe standard 99% of the time. For me, I find setting the proper white balance is key. If I don't use a gray card, for portrait I usually find I prefer clicking on the whites of the eyes as a starting point for color temp is better than "auto" or choosing one of the other presets. This may be way too basic for you and I apologize if it is, but thought I would share just in case any of this helps you or anyone else.

Samuli, I don't know (yet) if you like the Loxia 85, but it sures seems to like you!
Philippe, thanks! - I LOVE Loxia 85... Just came home from 10km hike from old forest, and enjoyed a lot shooting with Loxia 85. Only "bothering" thing is that I have strong "deja vu"-feeling as Loxia 85 is so similar to Contax Sonnar T* 3.5/100, why not G90 as well, but 3.5/100 and Loxia 85 are both little smoother in focus transitions and in general rendering style than G90.
I don't like so much f/2.4, but when closing down f/2.6 (it's between the "clicks", but available even lens is set to "click") or f/2.8 lens starts to shine. I didn't expect the f/2.4 to really work, it's really rare that lens works well enough wide open for me, this far there are only two lenses: Contax Sonnar 3.5/100 & Sony FE 1.4/35 (only at close distances, for landscapes it does need f/5.6 or even f/8 to start to really work at large focus distances - my copy does perform really well at close distances, and I have not been able to find any asymmetry etc., but as this lens has gigantic copy variance issue, maybe my copy has issue on long distances).
Erconomics are great, but I sometimes struggle with the aperture ring (it turns to "wrong" direction). Focus ring is very smooth and accurate focusing is easy. And it's so nice to have EXIF-info from the lens, I usually shoot ISO 80=wide open, ISO 100=1 stop down, ISO 125=2 stop down etc. to identify which aperture was used. Now I can just use base ISO (ISO 100) for everything.
Some random shots while out on the lake. I was waiting for some birds for BIF but I guess there's too much boat traffic. So why not make lemonade from lemons?! I am still amazed at being able to handhold at an equivalent of 840mm . . .
