Nice! Surprised to see it looks like the trees are dying?
Thanks I guess you are referring to partially burnt trees... I saw many burnt trees at Yosemite and my travel friends explained me the fire hazard is very high because the falling lightning.
I don't know the type of flowers here - if anyone does, please tell me - but they made for a beautiful display at a local botanical garden yesterday. A7RII with Meyer-Optik Trioplan 100/2.8.
This thread is depressing. I was about to post some photos after a long absence but after seeing the level you guys are shooting at I'm reticent. Incredibly photography from everyone - too many to call out by name. Please keep them coming. Maybe Fred can start an FE image thread for those of us less talented

I've seen your work and you belong here with the rest. I've learned more about photography from this site than anywhere else. Part of that learning is to keep posting . . .
So, here's another from my recent trip to Cleveland.
Four Variations on a Theme
After a long absence it's wonderful to see so many outstanding photographs.
Here are four images of downtown Minneapolis taken with my minimalist travel kit: A7r2, FE35/2.8 and FE85/2.8.
I was obviously there for a conference other than photography.
Window Washer II BTW show just how sharp the 85/1.8 is.

Next time you're here for a conference, let me know and we'll meet up!
One from a trip into NYC for work. I always try to take a few pics when I can it's such a great place for photography and especially at the blue hours and night. This is one taken on 42nd street on my way back to Grand Central Terminal with the Chrysler Building all lit up.
Don't think I posted these in this thread, so here it goes:
Granite Mt.
Central Cascades, Washington
16/3.5 AI Nikkor at f/8
Smoke courtesy of our Canadian cousins (I'm sure we've done the same to them at some point in the past).
Man, there is always some killer work in this thread especially by you regulars. I wish I could find enough time to post regularly, but I gotta work to support this habit.
Here are a few recent shots from the A7II with various lenses. I'm partial to Zeiss glass, but really liking what I see from the new lenses from Sony, especially the GM series.
At the southern tip of South Island NZ is Curio Bay, known for its petrified forest beach. Here's an afternoon shot of a petrified tree taken with Sony A7r and Leica WATE. I wanted to shoot this the next morning at low tide but overnight was a huge storm with 60+ mph winds and roaring surf. Oh well - that was fun as well! Dave
