The MUA told me later on that Rachel's hair was Bardot-inspired. To those of you out there that know/remember BB, there is only one meaning: you are old !
I'm happy to admit to being both old and a huge BB fan. If you get a chance to see it La Vérité, directed by Georges Clouzot, is probably her best film. It was both her highest grossing movie and the one she nominated as her favorite out of all the films she worked on.

Congrats on the new camera, you're making great use of it from the get-go. BTW what lens are you using?
Lovely images (and now I finally understand why chamomile tea looks the way it does).

I've really enjoyed all of the pictures you've posted recently. That's what the Australian landscape really looks like and, even if I haven't been to the places you've photographed, I've have the same emotional response to their harsh beauty.

Beautiful framing and perfect timing, not just the instant but the time of day.

Shuko -- I've been meaning to compliment your photos for their striking nature. Every portrait is engaging and demanding of the viewer, smile or no smile. Thank you!!
Thank you for your kind words! I find model photoshoots etc. too fake/boring. I try to do all my shots as "candid" while hanging around with friends or during hobbies (taekwondo mostly). Yes, I'm the guy who goes around with camera and annoys everyone else. If I end up getting something I like, good. If not, nothing was lost.
I almost hate coming to this thread. Quality of most every post is great, but I can never keep up, get busy for a day or two and we're 10 pages on. Great work all, you keep me working to improve.
Forced myself to use the Sony 28/2 yesterday on a grey day. I like its vignette at f/2, and think I got SOOC B&W about where I want it. Just a few shots from the afternoon.
