Sony a7R
FE 55 + Sigma AML-2
1/250 @ f/16 (ISO 200)
Cropped somewhat to remove some distracting shoots.
Round-lobed Hepatica
I wanted to try my FE 55 with the Sigma AML-2, hadn't had much of a chance to use the combination. Accidentally leaving my Metabones III at home (with my CV 125mm macro in my bag) made it a pretty easy choice. I didn't really have a choice.
For these really small flowers, I think the FE 55 + Sigma AML-2 will be a nice complement to the CV 125.

Thank you Gregg!
Lux-R 80 despite its size & weight is very worthy dragging portrait lens.
This weekend Vancouver's VanDusen Park hosted its annual 'Sakura Days Japan Fair' which attracted many interesting models to all local photographers benefit. (BTW, both ladies were not related)
A few more from this week with the FE 55. Really starting to like this lens! And, I've been shooting around the house, and at our neighbors house for dinner with the FE 35, too!
I'll post the FE 35 shots later...

Was this shot wide open? If it was, my copy must need adjustment
Very nice rendering

Hi.
Yes wide open as i recall.
that looks like what i would expect from my rokkor wide open. keep in mind performance of the lens wide open will drop in harsh light, and of course that focus must be dead on.

Thanks! As for the CV 21/4, it really doesn't work well with the A7. Center is OK, but corners and edges are a bit of a disaster, both heavy vignetting and smear. It wasn't all that great with APS-C, so you can imagine how it is with a not particularly well-behaved FF… Really a shame, because size and mechanics are very nice.
that is too bad, i'd love to have a 21mm that small even if it was only useable at f/11.
here are a few more shots testing out my leica R 350/4.8 on the a7:
Nice shots, Derek. My favs are the shot of your daughter and the tree trunk...
Here are the few taken with the FE 35 over at our neighbors house for dinner...
Thanks for looking,
Gregg

Alex Theodin let me test his copy and I think that it is okay at f/11. There corners are far from perfect but not too bad either, vignetting will have to be corrected but not nearly as bad as CV15 and the color shift is not too pronounced either. I am thinking about getting one. My Canon FD 2.8/20 has better corners and no of the other issues but I would like to have a really small kit as well as one for best quality.
Here is a full resolution jpg with corrections applied and here is also the raw. The lens is obviously decentered but the left corner should allow and assessment.
Here are some images that I took last evening in Magic Hour close to sunset at the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. Images taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 80-200mm f4 Vario Elmar Zoom lens and my A7r. Images shot at f11 for DOF and processed in LR5.3.
