Gorgeous rendering and color, Joshua!
Thank you, Jim! I actually love the rendition of that lens and it is different than that of the FE 35mm f/1.4. Well, the f/1.2 makes this lens unique. I actually have used that lens for my grandkids and I love the rendition and the TAP helps a lot. I just started using that lens for stuff that I can post here. The only drawback about that lens, except for being on the rather heavy side, is the lack of the aperture data.
It was during a record breaking temperature in Vegas, reaching 120F or 48 centigrades - I believe this image was captured stopped down a bit, to f/1.4 or f/1.8 to get a little bit more DOF.
I shot a wedding last weekend... I think it's a great lens and I like it
Have not used it very much
I don't have so much to compare with then it's my first AF lens for Sony system
I am using almost MF lens only
some older ones... don't know if you saw them

Some hand held shots of the Renegade Red Gallery in Hoquiam, WA. My best friend from Aberdeen High School, Mike Aronson, provided the musical accompaniment to the show. I left three of my oil paintings there for the gallery's July group show. Nice place and great people.

Loxia 21, LRCC.
So, you are doing some oil painting, too, Jim? Impressive! Great images, BTW.
Another image from the fountains at Bellagio but rendered a little bit differently to get a different rendition. No SRA this time around but semi freezing action. I had to raise my camera above my head and use the flip screen to compose. I handheld the setup. The sky was a tad on the dark side for this exposure already but still OK, I guess. The overhead clouds were partly lit by the fountain.

Thanks Joshua! Yes, I've painted in oils since the late 60's in high school, well before I started in photography. I do find photography more financially rewarding, but I have great respect for anyone calling themselves an artist as a paid gig -- that's a tough row to hoe! Some of my abstracts are available to view on jimharrisart.net (haven't updated in a number of years!). I have tons of paintings on hand here in SoCal.
Here are the three I've left for the upcoming show: one 16x16 inch on linen, two 16x20 on canvas, the last two were undertaken and completed during my recent Washington trip. .
