Wishing you all a great summer. Even though I haven't got to shoot at all lately I still like coming on here and looking. at the great shots. I was asked to shoot my friend's very simple wedding this past weekend. The only kind of wedding I care to shoot
Went to an open air museum here in Trondheim last weekend with some photography friends. The weather was dull and rainy, so we spent most of the time exploring the indoors areas, which was nice because they weren't open when I visited in 2010.

After a meeting in downtown Shanghai, and considering it was such as beautiful day (we've had a wonderful Spring, low API pollution figures and blue skies galore - though it's raining cats n dogs now !), I strolled down Nanjing Rd (the non-pedestrianised section, it's far more photogenic and beautifully landscaped in parts, though you need a platinum American Express to shop there)
There is a temple right on this road, in the very heart of the city, the Jing'An Temple. And although the timing was all wrong, with midday harsh sunlight, I decided it was time to take another look before a late lunch, after all it's been literally 10 years since I bothered to go inside !
I'll make another post on the Temple itself but this one is more for the 'Coin-Throwers'. Note the huge ornamental brass 'urn' in the courtyard, people believe it brings good luck to throw coins high up into the top and have them then fall into the massive urn underneath. It was good fun watching the plethora of varying techniques

Nanjing Road - lovely 'vases' !
The temple sits surrounded by massive high rises on 3 sides and a park opposite - note the brass urn and the reason in the text I've posted above.
I unfortunately missed the shot of her sky high with both legs folded in behind her back. Such effort she was a worthy winner for me !

Next Up, some initial shots from the Nikon AI-S 180mm f/2.8 ED. I've had the non-ED version in the past, so far pretty impressed by this lens, though a bit closer focus would be nice at times.
Ronny, your pictures are incredible; They remind me of the only guy I know/knew swho could do stuff like that. A fantastic Swede by the name of Olsson. Ever heard of him? You should, he is really great...
Frogfish, great storytelling!
Karl-Heinz, congrats on your new cam!
