Peire, resident Yashica master. In C/Y mount, the fame of CZ P50/1.4 overshadows the Yashica version, but I really like the latter's lower microcontrast and lens handling.

Thank you rico.I actually prefer the solid feel of Yashica ML 50/1.4 over cheapish somehow C/Y 50/1.4 Planar. These pictures were taken with the silver nose ML,which is significantly more robust and heavy compared to the black nose 50/1.4 ML copy, that I have.IQ wise however, they are identical.
I'll tell you my dirty little secret - I prefer Yashica 50/1.7 ML - same solid feel, same very good resolution stopped down and nicer IQ wide open.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
This thread never fails to impress! So many stellar grabs from everyone. All the usual suspects, and new contributors too. Too many to name....but all equally superb. Every grab is inspiring!!
I've been absent a lot lately. I apologize...Having one of those "kinda bored with my photography/not enough variation" at the moment. It will pass I hope...
But a couple recent to share with my venerable stable lens...many people have sold there's(I've contemplated it too), but in the end I just can't.
