Been very busy, slowly work through my backlog of photos from the Homegrown Music Festival and a few other concerts since. Not sure there's much interest in live music/performance photos, so here's a Jack in the Pulpit I ran into in a hike through our yard.
The lens is a Nikon Nikkor 35mm f/2.8 Pre-AI at f/2.8. I'm not sure I've seen anything else from this lens other than the handful I've posted... It's really impressive, especially given its age. More flare prone than a modern 35mm f/2.8, but very sharp, pleasant bokeh, and an great look. High contrast from wide open, edge to edge sharp at just f/4. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for landscape at f/4 in a pinch.
A7ii, 100 STF GM wide open. Night shot on the street with a small studio setup: steel roller stand, Speedlight, 2'x3' china silk panel, Pocketwizard triggers. In Chicago, this rig works outdoors about three days of the year. Most of the time it's either high wind, snowstorms or mosquitos.
