Might look like winter, but there are signs of spring: The char below the ice senses that the midnight sun is only three weeks away and the fish gets more active, the perfect time of year to catch them on the ice.
The two first images are taken at midnight:
Well yes, my interests are quite diverse and much of this I can make sense of, but the size of the stones with the large areas of pointing between them are a puzzle . Great work though (including this last shot) and you too Manuel!
This next shot is very slightly in the style of Ronny, except that my dog was not running towards me, she was chasing a squirrel!
These are a couple from the March for Climate in Ithaca yesterday:
Zony 55 1.8, f2.8:
Zony 55 1.8, f3.2:
The 55 yesterday was amazing. I hadn't fallen in love with it until I used it for reportage. I used AF-C with Zone focus or flexible point on my A7, and every single picture I took with the 55 was sharp (I mostly shot f2.2-f3.2). The FE 70-300 struggled a little more, but I got a lot of keepers from it too. All in all, I was really happy with the pictures I took.
I also brought the Batis 25 and the Zony 35 2.8. I almost never used the former, and took a few pictures with the latter, but they turned out really good.
I just got the Rokinon AF 14mm f2.8 and have been trying it out around the house. So far it seems to be very sharp across the frame. The big difference from my old MF example is there much less barrel distortion. This was processed in ON1 Raw and the bottom cropped for a more panorama look.
A7 and Rokinon AF 14mm f2.8, iso 100, f9 and 1/250 sec
Here is a cloud series that I took before a storm rolled in. I took these through a window on the 2nd floor of my house. The clouds were moving fast and were transforming into some cool shapes. Loxia 85 for all three.
