Butch...
I'm so, so very sorry for you.
It's such a shitty feeling losing a member of our families. Especially the four-legged ones. They provide constant unrestrained, unconditional love of us. All the time.
I think those of us who are photogs and regularly shoot them as subjects guides us to the happy times they gave us. I know for myself, looking at pics of Rajah helps ease the pain...as does time. But now, as Nala has seemed to also move on a little, I constantly shower her with affection and take her almost everywhere I(we) go. Which helps as well.
Once again I'm very sad for you and I hope your days get better.
Gregg
Another nice set Helena! I'd love to wander around with you doing street and anecdotal photos. I burst out a laugh when viewing your "Che(z) Lounge".

Here's a two shot pano taken in our backyard (not staged for photo! ), from inside the "Dog Fortress" in the Lost Corner. Second shot of the tree shows the nearly impregnable outer defenses of the Dog Fortress to the left side.
I am experimenting with developing some new B&W LR presets. A7RII with FE 24-70 GM . - Sonoran Desert north of Mesa, Arizona
Thank you, Dale!
Those are some dramatic and awesome B&W images! I used to use SilverEfex Pro for my B&W conversion but lately, it seems that LR lets me control the individual tonalities better. Job well done!

Trying the Loxia 21 on the original a7R -- sweet!
Thanks Philippe!
Yes Joshua -- it's a great addition for me, goes great with the Loxia 35!
Now, to get the Loxia 50!
Yup, definitely gusty around here in SoCal . If I were you, I would pick up the Loxa 85mm instead of the 50mm but of course, it is your call.
From a previous session " What dreams are made of"....
Decided to do something very different than my normal shooting and went to car/motorcycle show with Carl Zeiss Biogon T* 2/35 ZM (and Leica 90mm APO, later pics from that). I usually shoot only tripod and low ISOs, it's easy to forget how good sensors are these days. I just set camera to "auto"-ISO and it adjusts ISO so that shutter speed is 1/60s, which luckily is good choice for 35mm lens.
Lens seems to handle the difficult lightning well and has no flare under any conditions, even lens has extra lens element (the front plano-convex, OptoSigma Plano-Convex 3000mm). Boke would have been very ugly if these would have been shoot wide open, lens need to stop down f/3.2-4 to optimize the boke - do not get this lens if you want good boke @ f/2...
